How Music Could Make You A Rocket Scientist
Once again, another news article on the brain benefits of music education!
Go figure.
Now I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel here or even beat a dead horse in the mouth. But seriously, there's been extensive proof that music and other arts education are essential to all areas of life, not just scholastically, so WHY THE HECK ARE WE STILL CUTTING MUSIC PROGRAMS?!

There are still ways to do music in Common Core... it just gets a lot harder, and i'm sure many teachers won't be willing to put in the insane amount of extra time it would take to integrate music, i'm sure it would take me at least a few years to figure out how to do it in a way that is fun, fits the standards, and actually benefits the students. In fact, i'm hoping to steal ideas from other smart teachers who figure it out faster!
